Finished Gambas Chapagetti with shrimp and garlic in black bean sauce.

10-Minute Gambas Chapagetti(Contest-Winning Recipe)

Gambas Chapagetti won first prize in a Chapagetti recipe contest hosted by Nongshim. The recipe also drew attention on social media, and Nongshim went on to release a new product based on it.

This image shows the new product Nongshim released based on this recipe.

It combines Chapagetti with gambas—shrimp and garlic cooked in olive oil. The garlic and shrimp add more flavor to the familiar black bean sauce, while the shrimp give you something to bite into besides noodles.

I was curious enough to try it myself, and after the first bite, I could see why it won. It still tasted like Chapagetti, but the garlic, olive oil, and shrimp made it feel a little more like a proper meal.

To make it, toss the boiled noodles with garlic, shrimp, noodle cooking water, and the included sauce powder. Add a little peperoncino if you like some heat.

It’s a simple way to change up your usual Chapagetti when you have shrimp on hand.
